Illustrations d’un livre de contes –
illustration exhibition

An illustration exhibition based on the characters I created for the children’s fairytale book Satuja Vestalle. As the book is currently available only in Finnish, I wanted to share some of the characters and stories to my local audience here in France in the form of an exhibition.

A phrase from the corresponding story was translated into French and included in each of the illustration art prints to offer some context and intrigue the visitor to imagine the story around the illustration. As after all, the text and the image were created to work together! To celebrate the art of fairytale and to accompany the exhibition, a writing competition for children is also organised and the winners’ texts will be illustrated live and exhibited in September 2026.
